- What personal information do we collect, and where do we obtain it from?
When you interact with this website, we may collect information about you from two main sources:
- You may give us personal information directly if you choose to register for updates about the Osteoporosis Options tool – for example, your email address. All of this information is optional.
- We may collect information automatically from your interaction with the website using cookies. We use Google Analytics which collects data via cookies and allows us to evaluate user behaviour on the website. Google Analytics is a free web analytics service provided by Google that tracks and reports on all traffic that passes through the website. Google Analytics uses a technical tool called cookies to collect information about our website visitors
Web analysis is the gathering, collection and analysis of data about the behaviour of visitors to websites. Among other things, a web analysis service collects data on which website a visitor has come to a website from (so-called referrers), which pages of the website were accessed or how often and for which period of time a page was viewed. It also allows us to track how many times the toolkit has been downloaded and the geographical location (country, city) of visitors to the website.

- How we use your personal information
We use your personal information to:
- Monitor and analyse trends, usage and activities in connection with the website and Osteoporosis Options tool, to understand which parts of our website are of the most interest and to improve the design and content
- Answer your questions and request for updates, and solicit your feedback
- Send important notices, such as changes to the Osteoporosis Options tools or training
- For internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, evaluation and research to help us deliver and improve our websites
- When using the tool, any use of data within the tool will not be retained/stored
This data is processed on the basis of the following conditions:

- We sometimes share your personal information
We will not share personal emails. We may share other non-identifiable information e.g. from web analysis or training evaluations with the following:
- Developers – third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including hosting services and website development.
- Partner organisations – we routinely provide analytics reports to our partners and funding organisations so that they are able to assess levels of activity for the website. This includes number of sessions, users, downloads, referrals, geographical location and training evaluation results.
- Professional clinical advisors.
- Regulators, governments and law enforcement authorities.
- Courts, tribunals, arbitrators or other judicial committees.
For Osteoporosis Option treatment decision tools data is shared with Prescribing Decision Support Ltd, for the purposes of operation of the tool.
- How long will we keep your personal information?
Your personal data processed when using the tool will only be retained when using the tool. We will retain your email address for as long as you provide us with consent to do so.
- How secure is your personal information?
We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure.
